Christy (Wyant) Hernandez works out of the Los Angeles area as a soloist, in partnership with Steve Zee and Fred Strickler, and was a featured company member with Rhapsody in Taps.  She has performed and taught throughout the U.S., England, Ireland, and Japan, including international tap festivals in Portland and Southern California.  Christy's work emphasizes rhythmic clarity, intricate footwork and musicality.  While embracing the traditional essence of tap, her choreography explores new avenues through the influences of jazz and modern dance. She graduated in Creative Arts and Dance from San Jose State University.  Christy has been teaching at Orange Coast College since 1994.
