There are a couple of different types of Assessments that might be used in your class. 

Graded Quizzes
Most quizzes will be scored automatically as soon as you submit them. You'll be able to see your score immediately and, in some cases, see the correct answers for the questions you missed.  These quizzes or tests will usually contain multiple choice, true/false, matching, or short-answer questions. Some quizzes will be graded by your instructor. You will be able to view your scores for these quizzes at a later date. 

Self Tests
These quizzes are posted as study aids for you. 

Surveys
Surveys are anonymous questionnaires. Your instructor may use surveys to find out how you feel about the class. When you complete a survey, the instructor will not be able to associate your answers with you; your response will be anonymous.

Timed Tests
Most Assessments are timed. You will see "Start:" and "End:", accompanied by dates and times. This is the window within which you will need to take your Assessment. There will also be a "Duration." The Duration is how long you have from the moment you click "Begin Assessment" to the time you'll need to click "Finish."

Be sure to save your answers along the way!
Each time you click "Save Answer," your computer sends the information you've entered for that question to our server. That way, if you have a problem with your browser or Internet connection, or just lose track of time, you still get credit for the work you've done!
