| Academic conferences are a wonderful opportunity for you to distinguish yourself as a scholar. | The following academic conferences provide a forum in which Honors Program students can present research results, participate in panel discussions, display poster presentations, and show or perform original creations (art, music, dance, etc.). Depending on the conference, these presentations may be individual, in pairs or small groups. |

The Honors Transfer Council of California (HTCC) holds an annual student research conference giving students in community college honors programs the opportunity to present the results of their work. The conference is hosted every year at the University of California Irvine, and takes place in February or March. The next conference will be at UC Irvine on Saturday, February 28, 2009. Proposals will be due to the Academic Honors Office by December 1, 2008. Check back soon for more information about proposal submissions.

The Western Regional Honors Council (WRHC) conference is a three-day event that takes place in March or April; the location changes from year to year. The 2008 conference was held in Flagstaff, Arizona; the next conference will take place in Spokane, Washington from March 5-9, 2009. Proposals will be due to the Academic Honors Office by December 1, 2008. Check back soon for more information about proposal submissions.

The National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) holds a five-day conference that takes place during late October and/or early November; the location changes every year. The 2008 conference was held in San Antonio, Texas from October 22-26, 2008. The next NCHC Conference will be held in Washington, D.C. from October 28 - November 1, 2009.
