This plan is developed with a general counselor to assist you in completing required courses for the Associate Degree and prerequisite classes. Counseling appointments are made by calling 714-432-5078 on Thursday mornings.
Upon submission of your application through Allied Health 010, your application folder will be developed and will be placed on the applicant list for the program you have selected to enter. A priority listing of all applicants is formed by using the following criteria:
£ First, the date of your application to the program through Al H 010
£ Second, the date you have provided proof of successful completion of both English and math requirements
£ Third, the date you have provided proof of successful completion Prerequisite requirements .
£ Fourth, the date you have provided proof of successful completion of General Education courses for the specific program.
- In the Spring semester of each year, acceptance letters with return validation cards are sent out to qualified applicants to fill spaces available. The selection process is based solely on the above dates using the date of application first, then date of math and English, then date of prerequisites and finally the date of GE completion. This basically creates a “first come, first served” process where the applicant with the earlier dates will have first priority starting with the date of initial application.
- In cases of there are too many equally qualified applicants for the number of spaces available for a given semester, a general lottery of names will be drawn. Those students not selected will become the alternates to enter a program should a selected applicant cannot start. Alternates not entering the program that year will become first selected to start the program for the following year.
It is the responsibility of the student to follow the Student Educational Plan in meeting General Education and Prerequisite requirements and to submit ongoing unofficial transcripts to the School of Allied Health Professions to update their application folder.
