T.B. TESTS AT ORANGE COAST COLLEGE

Students must submit a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray report that is one year current throughout the semester that you will be doing your volunteer hours.  You will not be able to begin your participation at the Lab School until a valid T.B. test is submitted.  It is suggest that you do this the semester prior to your practicum and/or field experience.

The student health center on campus provides FREE T.B. testing for students currently enrolled at OCC.  The schedule for testing is as follows:

Monday and Tuesday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm  (no appointment is necessary)

You must return to have your results read 72 hours later on Wednesday or Thursday respectively.  For example, if you get your test on Monday you will return on Wednesday to get it read.

If you have a positive T.B. test, you will need to get a chest x-ray or clearance from a physician or Orange County Public Health Agency.
