Courses in Humanities at OCC focus mainly on profound themes apparent in history, philosophy literature, and the arts. The different courses offer students the choice between an introductory look at these topics, themes within them (also offered for students in the honors program), as well as arts and ideas in the orient and Latin America. These diverse courses enable students interested in the humanities to understand the differences between the kinds of creatively expressed ideas that emerge from different cultures.
