Your instructor will choose which tools are available to you in the course. You will see some, but most likely not all, of these options on your Course Menu, under the heading Course Tools.

Organizational Tools

• Calendar: View important events and deadlines.
• Syllabus: Find course requirements, objectives, and policies.

Communication Tools

• Announcements: View important information.
• Chat: Chat with your classmates and/or your instructor in real time.
• Discussions: Post and respond to messages on specific topics.
• Mail: Send messages to other users.
• Roster: View profiles for course members. Users can edit their own profile.
• Who's Online: Chat with other users who are logged into your classroom.

Student Learning Activities

• Assessments: Take quizzes, exams, self tests, and surveys.
• Assignments: Submit assignments online.
• Goals: View goals that list the qualitative and quantitative performance expected in your course.

Content Tools

• Learning Modules: Navigate course content and activities.
• Local Content: Easily access large files from a portable medium, such as CD-ROM.
• Media Library: View a glossary or image collection.
• SCORM: View SCORM-compliant packages, or modules.
• Web Links: Explore Internet resources relating to your course.
