Celebrate 60 OCC Activities of Community and Wellness

Celebrate OCC’s 60th anniversary by participating in 60 activities, one for each of OCC’s 60 years of excellence. Choose from a wide range of campus wide activities listed below.  

Once you have completed an activity, you will record it on your OCC 60th Anniversary Card. Participants will receive a “Milestone” prize for every 15 years of celebration!

Join the Physical Education Division in this year long activity aimed at building community, collegiality and wellness!

How to complete your 60th Anniversary Card


  1. Review the list of suggested activities. 
  2.  Determine which activity you would enjoy that would be meaningful, celebrate community and contribute to your wellness.  It may be new or an activity that you do now.
  3. Do the activity by yourself or with others.
  4. Once completed, record the activity on the Anniversary Card, starting with the square “1948” OCC’s founding year.  Include what you participated in and the date completed. (Anniversary Cards are available from the Physical Education Division Office.)
  5.  When you reach a milestone (15 years), send a copy of your card to Anna Hanlon to receive your milestone prize.  You may also bring it by the PE&A Division office if you like to receive your milestone prize.
  6. When you reach 2007, bring your completed Anniversary card to the Physical Education Division office and receive your final prize.

  1. Ask for a health information brochure on a topic of your choosing (Student Health Center - see receptionist)
  2. Attend a "Math Confidence" workshop at Re-Entry Center (Watson Hall, rm 433)
  3. Attend a Classified Forum meeting
  4. Attend a fall athletic event
  5. Attend a spring athletic event
  6. Attend a lecture from the "Creating Scholars" Speakers Series (Honors Program)
  7. Attend a Planning and Budget meeting
  8. Attend a Staff Development workshop - schedule on OCC Portal
  9. Attend an Academic Senate meeting

  28. Eat a totally vegetarian meal from the Cafeteria
  29. Enroll as an OCC Student (Admissions)

  31. Find a family member a job using the OC Job Kiosk located in the Job Placement Office (free) (Watson Hall, rm 316)
  32. Get a "Health on the Go" kit to use in your class - topics - Breast Self Exam, Testicular Self Exam, Contraception, Nutrition, Eating Disorders, Smoking/Tobacco. (Student Health Center)
  33. Get a Monster Track password for a mega jobsearch – help someone you know find their dream job ($20 value) (Watson Hall, rm 316)
  34. Get a student to pick up 5 pieces of trash
  35. Get your blood pressure taken at the Exercise Science Lab (Fitness Complex)
  36. Get your blood pressure taken at the Student Health Center
