Since 1957, Orange Coast College has proudly presented the OCC Math Meet – an annual mathematics competition for local high school students. This friendly contest offers students the opportunity to demonstrate their math skills, win prizes, meet others who excel in mathematics, and learn about math and science programs here at Orange Coast College. Awards and prizes will be presented during a dinner immediately following the competition. There is no cost to participate!
The Math Meet is held each spring in the Giles T. Brown Forum. Each participating high school sends a team of four students, one alternate (optional), and a faculty sponsor. The questions are based on high school level mathematics and no calculators are allowed during the exam. There will be both individual and team winners.
