Private Pilot Certificate

Learning to fly is both challenging and rewarding. The private pilot certificate is a license issued by the U.S. Federal Aviaition Administration (FAA) which allows you to fly an airplane and carry passengers and baggage. This certificate does not allow you to fly for compensation or hire. It simply allows you to experience the joy of flight and to share it with friends and family.
Requirements for a Private Pilot Certificate
1. You must be at least 17 years of age
2. Be able to read, write and converse fluently in English
3. Obtain at least a third-class FAA medical certificate
4. Receive and log ground training from an authorized instructor
5. Pass a written knowledge test
6. Accumulate at least 40 hours of flight experience, 20 of which must be with a flight instructor and at least 10 of which must be solo flight time.
