Our Location

We’re located on Southern California’s beautiful “Orange Coast,” just five miles from the Pacific Ocean. Orange Coast College is situated in the midst of Orange County’s booming South Coast Metro shopping, arts and high tech center. We’re 50 miles south of Los Angeles and 80 miles north of San Diego.

OCC is just 10 minutes from Orange County’s John Wayne Airport...10 minutes from the Orange County Performing Arts Center...10 minutes from one of the nation’s largest shopping malls...12 minutes from the University of California at Irvine...12 minutes from some of Southern California’s most spectacular beaches...20 minutes from Disneyland...and less than two hours from beautiful mountain and desert resorts.

Our climate is close to perfect! The average annual rainfall is just 14 inches, with most occurring from November to March. Winters are mild, with average days of 60 to 75 degrees F. and nights about 20 degrees cooler. Summers are comfortable with the temperature reaching about 82 degrees F. in the daytime, and dropping to about 63 at night. Humidity is almost never a problem. Breezes off the nearby Pacific keep the air clean.

Our students transfer to four-year universities around the nation, but hundreds remain in Southern California to attend the many fine universities here. We’re the number one transfer school to UC Irvine and Cal State Long Beach, and we rank number two in transfers to Cal State Fullerton. We’re number three in transfers to UCLA. Many of our students also transfer to UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, the University of Southern California, Chapman University, San Diego State, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UC Berkeley.
