Service Learning — How It Works
REQUIREMENTS

  • Instructor presents service learning requirements to students in class

    Service Learning Office provides:
    • List of syllabi for most disciplines
    • Examples of different course requirements
The service learning requirements for the students should:
  1. be clearly stated in the syllabus
  2. be reasonable to the student
  3. include a system of monitoring
  4. be clear about the student's responsibility to the instructor
  5. be clear about the student's responsibility to the agency
