Math Class Placement

Success in mathematics begins by being placed in the appropriate class. For this reason, all new students must take a mathematics assessment exam before enrolling in a math class for the first time. The placement result is based on multiple measures of current mathematical readiness, and indicates the appropriate course to take. These exams are given in the Assessment Center located in the Special Services Building. For more information, call (714) 432-5789. You can also consult a counselor to assist you.
