Lilia Llorens is one of America’s premiere Middle Eastern dance artists. For over two decades she has actively studied with many notable masters from the United States and Egypt. She is impassioned about her teaching and performing and has earned impressive credentials both domestically and internationally touring throughout the United States, Canada and Germany. Ms. Nemeth is currently on the dance faculties of two southern California colleges (Orange Coast College a leading artist in the forefront of Middle Eastern dance. She was listed by the Orange County Register as one of the most memorable world dance performers. For over two decades she actively pursued her love of Oriental dance by studying with many notables both in the United States and Egypt. Since 1977 Angelika has been on the dance faculty at OCC where she has been influential in the expansion of its world dance program; and where she teaches accredited Middle Eastern dance classes. For the past fourteen years she has produced and directed critically acclaimed world dance concerts at OCC. Angelika is one of the co-ordinators of the Second International Conference on Middle Eastern Dance to be held in Southern California in May 2001. As a performer, Angelika is known for her expressive and elegant style and exciting stage presence. Jareeda, a Middle Eastern dance magazine, calls her “a most dynamic and soul-stirring performer who when she dances shares her whole spirit and enthusiasm for the art form.” She is director and choreographer of an award winning professional dance ensemble based at OCC. Angelika holds a BS degree in Education and an MA in psychology specializing in the Transformational Arts.
