THE IMPORTANCE OF COMPLETING ENGLISH AND MATH EARLY
- One of the main reasons students do not have the opportunity to transfer, or the chance to transfer when they WANT to transfer, is the failure to complete required and transferable English and Math courses.
- A large percentage of students who take the English and Math placement tests at OCC are required to complete one (often more than one) remedial course.

The more remedial classes you have to take, the sooner you take them,
the better!!
It is highly recommended that you take the PLACEMENT TESTS as soon as possible so you know what will be required of you early.
It is highly recommended that you begin taking REMEDIAL COURSES as
soon as possible.
The longer you avoid taking these English and math classes, the longer
you delay your graduation from OCC and/or transfer.
