All new students must complete the orientation requirements prior to registration. Orientation provides students with information about the college, a first semester plan, transfer and degree requirements, vocational programs, student services, and special program availability.
Who Must Participate in Orientation?
Students with one or more of the following educational goals must participate in orientation:

Associate of Arts (AA) degree or higher Certificate of Achievement (vocational) Improvement in basic skills (for example, English, reading, or math) Completion of credits for a high school diploma

How do I make an appointment for Orientation or Counseling?
To schedule an appointment, call (714) 432-5078 during normal business hours. Don’t hang up. Wait for a representative to answer after the recorded message.
What if I completed coursework at another college or university?
If you have a college degree, you are exempt from orientation. However, everyone is welcome to participate in orientation.
Exemptions
If you’ve completed 15 or more units at a regionally accredited college, you may submit your unofficial transcripts to the matriculation office for a possible exemption from the orientation requirement.
