Registration is the process of enrolling in classes and you must repeat this process each semester. To expedite your registration process, you’ll be given the opportunity to register and pay fees using the Touch-Tone Telephone Registration system.
When am I able to register for my classes?
You will receive an appointment time to register via the touch-tone telephone system. Your appointment will indicate the day and time you can register by phone and you must complete the placement testing and orientation requirements prior to registration. Refer to the current class schedule for registration periods.
Once I register, when do I have to pay my fees?
Payment must be made or postmarked within 48 hours after your registration or your classes will be dropped and released to other students. If you register by Touch-tone you will be given the option to pay your fees via the telephone using your credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover). You may also mail or drop-off a check or money order within 48 hours of registration.
Orange Coast College processes check payments electronically. Not only does this method streamline payment processing, but it also offers students greater security, safety, and privacy. With electronic check conversion, your bank account will be debited in the amount of your check, as early as the same day we receive payment. The transaction will appear on your back statement as an electronic funds transfer (EFT). Each remittance of payment by check is considered authorization to convert that particular check into an electronic transaction. Your original check will be destroyed and it will not be returned to your bank. If you have any questions regarding EFT please contact the Bursar’s Office at (714) 432-5599.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FINANCIAL AID STUDENTS-Students who need financial assistance should apply for financial aid early in the process. *Students, who are eligible for the BOGFW, should note that the BOGFW covers ONLY the enrollment fees and does NOT cover the College Service Fee, health Fee, and/or materials fees, if any. You must pay all fees due within 48 hours to avoid being dropped.
Will I be billed for fees dues?
No, Orange Coast College doesn’t send a bill for fees due. It is the student’s responsibility to submit payment of fees at the time of registration to avoid being dropped from their classes. You can call the touch-tone telephone registration system to check on your balance due (714) 438-8222.
How do I get a copy of my class schedule/program receipt?
Your program receipt will be mailed to you once you have paid all your fees. If the OCC Student Records Office has your email address on file prior to registration, you will also receive a copy of your program receipt via email once all your fees are paid.
Will I be dropped automatically if I don’t pay my fees?
Yes, you must submit your payment within 48 hours of your registration. If fees are not received by the Registration Office within 5 working days of your registration, your classes will be dropped and released to other students.
