This is the powerpoint presentation given by Dr. Kay McClenney in February, 2007.  In the presentation, Dr. McClenney talks about the importance of using assessment to assist in achieving student learning outcomes and improving student success.

"Reading College Texts and Student Learning Outcomes"
This is a powerpoint presentation entitled "Why Can't Students Read College Texts."  the presentation shows how student learning outcomes can be improved by the manner in which instructors present reading assignments.

Take Back Your Time Day

Robert Sessions, Professor of Philosophy, Kirkwood Community College, wrote this article for the Community College Humanity Association Fall, 2004, Magazine. The article discusses the fact that Americans experience an increasing amount of stress because they feel time starved for leisure activities. Professor Sessions has developed a humanities course at his community college which addresses this topic.
