Orange Coast College established its Alumni Hall of Fame in 1983 to honor former OCC students who have gone on to achieve success in their lives and careers. The first Hall of Fame ceremony was staged on Thursday, April 28, 1983, in Fine Arts Hall 119.

This year's ceremony is scheduled for March 13, 2008 at 6pm in the Student Center.  We are honored to be inducting Scott Lay, President and CEO of the Community College League of California, Roseanne Tellez, Co-anchor CBS 2 Chicago, and Bill Wood, past president of the Pacific Care Foundation.

Membership in OCC's Alumni Hall of Fame is exclusive. Factors that are considered in the selection process include: contribution to one's chosen profession; success in one's field; recognition in the public eye; continuing interest in Orange Coast College; and community involvement. Persons need not be graduates of the college to be eligible for induction into the Alumni Hall of Fame.

Orange Coast College is continually looking for additional Hall of Fame nominees. Letters of nomination may be addressed to Doug Bennett, executive director of OCC's Foundation.

The Alumni Hall of Fame is cosponsored by the Associated Students of Orange Coast College, and the OCC Foundation.
