Poker University
Instructor: Debbie Parks

This beginner poker course will teach the rules and basics of the most popular forms of poker played online and in poker rooms around the world. Students will learn the differences between the most popular styles of the game including tournament play and what’s known as ring games. Instruction is based on the bestselling book, “The Fundamental Secrets of Winning Poker,” by “the father of modern poker,” Mike Caro and the Mike Caro University School of Poker. Students will learn strategy, psychological tactics, money management, reading opponents, bluffing, structure and tournament strategies. This course is for adults 18 and over.

Dates: Saturdays, September 25 - October 30
Time: 10:00 am-12:00 pm

Fee: $100

The last class is an optional field trip to the Hollywood Park Casino. Students must provide their own transportation.

Debbie Parks is a semi-professional poker player with 35 years experience. She has taught poker classes based on the Mike Caro method for five years and helped develop the curriculum for the Mike Caro University of Poker, which is still being taught to students around the world.
