Natural Science

Transfer Courses

All courses numbered 100 or higher are transferable to the California State Universities (CSU). Courses that are transferable to the University of California are designated 'UC.' Some of these courses have limits on the amount of credit that is granted. See the UC Transferable Course List available in the Counseling Center or Transfer Center for these limitations. Courses that are non-credit or not AA degree applicable are designated with the letter 'N' preceding the course number. Identification of courses that have been accepted into the California Articulation Number (CAN) system appears after the course title.

NATURAL SCIENCE

Natural Science A100- Evolution of the Cosmos (6)
Overview of natural history from origin of universe through appearance of Homo sapiens and the development of science and technology. May be taken for grades or on a pass-no pass basis. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC.

Natural Science A100A- N S Lab--Astronomy (1)
Beginning laboratory experience for natural science students with emphasis on astronomy. Same as Astronomy 100L.

Natural Science A100G- N S Lab--Geology (1)
Beginning laboratory experience for natural science students with emphasis on geology. Same as Geology A100L. Students completing Natural Science A100G may not receive credit for Geology A100L. May be taken for grades or on a pass-no pass basis. PREREQUISITE: Natural Science A100 or concurrent enrollment. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC.

Natural Science A112- Intro Physical Science (4)
An introduction to the basic physical principles that govern the universe. This course will present an overview of the general aspects of physics and chemistry including: forces, motion, energy, electricity, heat, sound, light, the atom, acids and bases. PREREQUISITE: Mathematics A030. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC.
