 Non-Payment Drop Schedule Spring 2010

Prior to the start of the term
 (January 31 2009)

All Registration fees are due at the time of registration and should be submitted IMMEDIATELY after registering for classes. This includes the College Service Charge and Health Fee for BOG recipients. Orange Coast College does not bill for registration fees. If payments are not received by the fee payment deadlines (see drop for non-payment deadlines below), students MAY BE DROPPED from classes to make seats available for other students seeking to register. If you are still enrolled in classes when the term begins, it is the student’s responsibility to withdraw from classes by the State mandated refund deadline for each course to ensure cancellation of fees.

Verify all adds and drops by printing your Student Class Program available via MyOCC (Student tab/Other Resources).

“EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, July 28, 2009: Due to State legislative action the enrollment fee for the Fall 2009 semester has increased to $26 per unit (from $20 per unit). All students, including those who have already registered for fall classes, will be required to pay the new fee. Students who registered prior to July 28th and paid enrollment fees will not be dropped for the additional $6 per unit but will be required to pay their fee balances in full. In addition, students who have previously registered and paid fees for the fall 2009 will not be dropped for non-payment if they add additional courses.

Students are responsible for verifying all fee balances and registration prior to the start of the term. Please visit your MyOCC portal to confirm receipt of payment and registration (print a Student Class Program—on the Student tab under Other Resources) . Please make sure to drop any classes that you do not plan to attend and/or pay all fees dues in order to avoid a hold being placed on your record. If you have any questions about your fee balance, please contact (714) 432-5072.”

Start of term (January 31, 2010)

Students who are enrolled in classes when the term begins, and have not paid fees, WILL NOT be dropped for non-payment. Students will incur a financial obligation to the college AND a hold will be placed on their record if payment is not received or they do not drop prior to the refund deadline.
Once the term has started

Students who register for classes after the term begins WILL NOT be dropped for non-payment. Students will incur a financial obligation to the college AND a hold will be placed on their record if payment is not received. This hold will block future registration (adds, drops), obtaining transcripts, grades, diplomas, or verification of enrollment until all fees are paid.

IMPORTANT: Students are responsible for any fees incurred and grades received. It is the student’s responsibility to drop classes by the State mandated refund deadline to avoid fee obligations and must print a student class program(available via MyOCC)to verify their withdrawal.
