SANTA ANA - It may have looked like an uneventful 30-10, 30-15, 30-16 three-game sweep over Santa Ana on Friday, but it was in reality a record-setting night for sophomore Kiwi Winkler. Winkler finished the night with 16 kills to become OCC's all-time kill leader with 663, breaking the previous-best mark of 662, set in 2002 and 2004 by Melissa Zapiain. Jacqi Reed added 11 kills and Angela Roberts 27 assists for the Pirates (15-1, 8-1 in conference), while Kissa Kent OCC's defense with 21 digs. The win keeps the Pirates tied for first place with Golden West and Fullerton. OCC will play at Fullerton on Wednesday night at 6 before returning home to host the Rustlers on Friday, beginning at 7.
