Pirate golfers take ninth at Tee-Off Classic

CHINO HILLS - The Orange Coast College men's golf team finished ninth at the 2007 Tee-Off Classic, held at Los Serranos Golf & Country Club this week.
The Pirates, led byJustin Gray's two-round total of 152 (73-79) carded a team total of 812 for the two-day event. Kyle Ritter (79-82-161), Dana Halden (82-82-164), Jon Evans (90-79-169), T.J. Vick (91-82-173) and Kevin Ritter (84-90-174) complete the Pirates' scoring.
Cypress College won the event with a team score of 747. Saddleback was second with a 752 and Cuyamaca (756) placed third.
The lowest individual total came from Cypress' Adam Frey, Palomar's Blake Humphrey and Cuyamaca's Trent Castro, who each shot a two-round total of 146.
The Pirates will return to action on Feb. 21 when they take on Cuyamaca at Cottonwood Golf Club, beginning at 11 a.m.
