Women's Basketball: Smith heading to Kansas Wesleyan

 COSTA MESA - Orange Coast College sophomore guard Robin Smith as accepted a scholarship offer to play basketball and attend school at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas, according to OCC head coach Mike Thornton.
"Robin was one of our trp-captains and helped lead us to a school-record 28 regular season wins," Thornton said. "She will be an immediate impact player for a growing and improving program and KW."
Smith was the second-leading scorer for the Pirates, averaging 11.2 points and 4.0 assists per game, earning first-team, All-Orange Empire Conference honors along the way.
Playing both the point and shooting guard positions, Smith was fourth in the state in free-throw percentage, hitting 81 percent of her opportunities (73-for-90).
Smith joined the Pirates after spending one season at Irvine Valley, where he earned first-team, All-OEC honors there as well.
