Football: Pirates' 2007 schedule set!

COSTA MESA - September 1 is the date all OCC football players, coaches and fans have marked on their calendars. That's the date for the Pirates' 2007 season opener.
The Pirates, fresh off of last year's 7-4 season and Beach Bowl appearance, will look for even higher standards in 2007 as they kick off at Citrus College, beginning at 7 p.m.
From there, Coast will kick off its home schedule with Santa Monica on Sept. 8 and Pasadena City on Sept. 15, both at 5 p.m.
Following their two-game homestand, the Pirates will play three straight on the road against Santa Ana (Sept. 22), Mt. San Antonio (Sept. 29) and American Division foe Palomar (Oct. 13), all beginning at 1 p.m.
From there, OCC will spend the next four weeks at LeBard Stadium with a home game against Fullerton (Oct. 20), a "road" game against Golden West (Oct. 27) and back-to-back home games against El Camino (Nov. 3) and Long Beach City (Nov. 10), all beginning at 5 p.m.
