SAN MARCOS - The Orange Coast College men's soccer team notched its second straight road with a 3-1 victory over host Palomar on Tuesday in nonconference action.
Jarred Balbas got the Pirates on the scoreboard first when he scored in the game's 12th minute off an assist from Jordan Joseph.
After Palomar (0-4-1) evened the score in the 22nd minute, Balbas found the back of the net once again off an assist by John Shinjo in the 25th minute, giving the Pirates a 2-1 lead at the end of the first half.
Brady Condon gave the Pirates' lead some extra padding when he took a pass from his brother, Logan Condon, and ripped a shot past the Comets' goaltender.
Dane Fernandez had five first-half saves for the Pirates before Joey Balbas notched two second-half saves.
The Pirates will return to action on Friday at 3 p.m. when they host Long Beach City.
