Women's Volleyball: Pirates return to winning ways

RIVERSIDE - Led by an 18-kill, 14-dig performance by sophomore Jacqi Reed, the Orange Coast College women's volleyball team returned to the win column with a 30-16, 30-27, 30-27 win over host Riverside in Orange Empire Conference action on Wednesday.
Jenna Harp and Rebecca Lowe each had eight kills, while Jessica Roy chipped in six for the Pirates (11-2, 5-1 in conference).
Freshman libero Kayla Cutler notched a match-high 19 digs, while setter Emily Lyon got the offense going with 41 assists.
OCC returns to action on Friday on the road against first-place and undefeated Irvine Valley (13-0, 6-0), beginning at 6 p.m.
