Women's Water Polo: Pirates fall to Santa Ana

SANTA ANA - The Orange Coast College women's water polo team dropped to 10-10 overall, 2-3 in the Orange Empire Conference with a 13-11 loss to Santa Ana on Wednesday.
The Pirates fell behind 8-5 at the half and got as close as 10-9, but could not get over the top against the Dons (17-6, 4-1).
Annie Le led Coast with four goals, while Samantha Lane, Nicole Doherty and Keeley McCormack each added two goals. Goalie Nikki Armendariz had eight saves for OCC.
The Pirates will compete at the Pasadena Mini-Tournament this weekend before returning home to host Golden West on Wednesday, beginning at 3 p.m.
