COSTA MESA -- The Orange Coast College women's soccer team battled visiting Irvine Valley to a scoreless tie on Wednesday, wrapping up a grueling three-games-in-three-days stretch for both schools.
Orange Coast (4-10-3, 4-7-3 in Orange Empire Conference) outshot IVC 12-4 and had a couple of excellent scoring opportunities, but simply could not cash them in.
IVC (2-14-2, 2-9-2) goalkeeper Lupe Jimenez had seven saves, while OCC keeper Heather Bystrom notched three saves.
The Pirates will get some much-needed time off before returning to action on Tuesday at Cypress, beginning at 3 p.m.
