Men's Tennis: Pirates double-up College of the Desert, 6-3

COSTA MESA -- The Orange Coast College men's tennis team once again showed its quality depth and defeated defending state champion College of the Desert, 6-3, in Orange Empire Conference action on Thursday.
It was the first win for the Pirates (7-3, 4-1 in OEC) over COD since the Roadrunners joined the Orange Empire Conference.
Singles wins were provided by Pat Lam (6-1, 6-4), Kevin Kordestani (6-1, 6-2), Kevin Tran (6-2, 6-0) and Andy Ong (6-2, 6-1).
In doubles, Ong and Kordestani held off the COD doubles team, 8-5, while Landon Draper and KEvin Saenz cruised to an 8-1 win.
OCC returns to action on Tuesday at home against Saddleback, beginning at 2 p.m.
