Men's Tennis: Pirates double-up Cypress, 6-3

COSTA MESA -- For the second time this season, it was the depth of Orange Coast College's men's tennis team that provided enough firepower to outlast Cypress, 6-3, on Tuesday.
The Pirates (10-4, 7-2 in Orange Empire Conferece), who outlasted the Chargers 5-4 earlier this year, were led by their 3-through-6 singles players as Kevin Kordestani (6-0, 6-4), Pat Lam (6-2, 6-1), Kevin Saenz (6-0, 6-0) and Andy Ong (6-1, 6-4) each provided straight-set wins.
In doubles, the teams of Gio Villicana and Landon Draper (8-2) and Kordestani and Ong (8-0) each cruised to victories for the Pirates.
OCC will return to action on Thursday at Irvine Valley, beginning at 2 p.m.
