Men's Tennis: Pirates will play at Cerritos in playoff opener

COSTA MESA -- Seeded sixth in the playoffs, the Orange Coast College men's tennis team will travel to Cerritos College to take on the No. 4 seeded Falcons in the Southern California Regional Dual Team Playoffs.
Normally a No. 6 seed takes on a No. 3 seed in this eight-team format, however, the third-seeded team is OEC rival Riverside and no two teams from the same conference can play each other in the first round, according to head coach Chris Ketcham.
The winner of the OCC-Cerritos match will take on the winner of the Grossmont/L.A. Pierce match on Tuesday, April 29.
The Pirates and Falcons have met once this year with Cerritos prevailing, 9-0.
