Women's Volleyball: Pirates to host Pasadena in SoCal Regional opener

The Orange Coast College women's volleyball team will host the Pasadena City College Lancers in the first round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs on Tuesday night, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Peterson Gym.
OCC (18-4) finished third in the Orange Empire Conference and was named the eighth seed in the 16-team playoffs. The Pirates finished the regular season with a four-game road victory over Riverside College on Wednesday.
After finishing tied for second with Mt. San Antonio in the South Coast Conference, Pasadena (16-6) was placed in the No. 9 spot.
The winner of Tuesday's match will play on Saturday night against the winner of the Los Angeles Pierce-Chaffey contest in the Regional Finals.
