Men's Basketball: Hellmuth's bucket at the buzzer lifts OCC past Cuyamaca

GLENDORA -- Sophomore Brian Helmuth's three-pointer at the buzzer helped lift the Orange Coast College men's basketball team past Cuyamaca 79-77 on Saturday in the consolation round of the Neil Edwards Classic, held at Citrus College.
Helmuth, Eric Williams and Martin Whitmore each had 14 points to lead the Pirates (2-4), while Chris Curtis added 13 and Chad Delaney chipped in 10.
Barrett Braun led Cuyamaca (3-6) with 15 points and seven rebounds.
OCC will take on the winner of the East LA-Victor Valley game on Sunday, beginning at 2 p.m. at Citrus College.
