COSTA MESA -- Three sophomores from this year's Orange Coast College football team are prepared and committed to play at the four-year level, according to head coach Mike Taylor. Defensive lineman Dean DeLeone (pictured above) will take his talents to Arizona State University, wide receiver Cameron Hall (pictured left) will move on and play at Stony Brook University in New York and running back Kevin Ah-Hi (pictured below) will compete for a spot at Eastern Washington University. DeLeone, 6-foot-2, 245-pounder from Park City, Utah, was named the Southern California National Division, Southern Conference's Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 78 total tackles (32 solo) with 15.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, five pass breakups, seven QB hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He even showed off his skills on special teams, averaging 37.7 kickoff yards per return and had a 97-yard return for a touchdown. Hall, a 6-3, 215-pounder from Foothill Ranch, was the Pirates' main receiving weapon. The second-team, All-SCFA Northern Division Southern Conference led OCC with 51 receptions (seventh-best for one season in OCC history) for 740 yards and six touchdowns. Ah-Hi, a 5-11, 205-pounder from Coeur d'Alene, ID, rushed for 438 yards and three touchdowns on 124 carries. For his career, Ah-Hi amassed 1,300 rushing yards (seventh-best in OCC history) and nine touchdowns. As a freshman, he had a game for the ages, rushing for 266 yards (nine yards shy of OCC's all-time single-game record) on a school-record 48 carries against Long Beach City.
