Men's Tennis: Pirates improve to 3-0 with win over Palomar

SAN MARCOS -- It wasn't as easy as it sounded, but the Orange Coast College men's tennis team improved to 3-0 overall with a 9-0 nonconference win over Palomar on Thursday.
Kevin Saenz led the Pirates with a dominating performance, sweeping past David Metcalf, 6-0, 6-0 in singles play before teaming with Nick Stuart for an 8-0 doubles win.
Pulling out three-set singles wins for the Pirates were Brad Fisher (4-6, 6-2, 6-2) and Yannick Lepage (6-2, 4-6, 6-4), while straight-set wins were posted by Laurent Minguez (6-3, 6-1), Felix Demiro (6-4, 6-0) and Marc Cesar (6-4, 7-5).
OCC returns to action on Wednesday at Long Beach City College, beginning at 2 p.m.
