Softball: Pirates fall to Cypress

CYPRESS -- After a 9-1 home loss to Santiago Canyon on Friday, the Orange Coast College softball team fell to Cypress 8-0 on Tuesday in Orange Empire Conference action.
Candice Arevalo led the Pirates (3-8, 0-7 in OEC) with two hits, while single hits were produced by Katrina Gaar, Nicole Silva and Sarah Munson.
Kimberly Frazier and Vanessa Alvarado each went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI for the Chargers.
OCC returns to action on Wednesday at home against Golden West, beginning at 3 p.m.
