Baseball: Golf tourney cancelled

The Third-Annual Pat & Phyllis Golf Tournament, slated for April 6 at Strawberry Farms, has been cancelled, according to head baseball coach John Altobelli.
A new date for the event hasn't been established at this point, but according to Altobelli, a return to early November could be a possibility. The first two years of the event were held in early November and both proved to be very successful.
"Perhaps it's the current economy we're living in, but we just weren't able to generate the number of golfers we needed to put the event on," Altobelli said. "It's unfortunate because it's a great event and a great opportunity to see longtime friends and former OCC players in a fun setting. Hopefully, as the economy improves, we can put the tournament on again."
