Men's Golf: Pirates finish third in OEC

CHINO HILLS -- The Orange Coast College men's golf team wrapped up the 2009 Orange Empire Conference Tournament in third place overall with a two-round team score of 749.
Palomar (720) and Santiago Canyon (740) finished ahead of the Pirates for the event. The Comets (18-2) won the conference with Cypress taking second overall, with Coast and SCC tied for third (12-8).
Marcus Sostak-Rosa led the way for the Pirates. His 4-under-par 70 on the second day capped off his two-day score of 147.
Ryan Indovina (149), Albert Kilgore (149), Florencio Anadon (153), Kord Tagley (153) and Joe Doody (155) round out the Pirates' scoring for the two-day event.
Next up for Coast will be the Southern California Regional Tournament, held at Marshalla Ranch Golf Club in Lompoc. The event will begin on Monday at 6 a.m.
