Football: Important dates announced for upcoming season

COSTA MESA -- With the start of the 2009 football season just a few months away, here is a list of important dates for incoming players and fans of the Orange Coast College football program.
June 23 to July 30 -- Summer school football (PE 109 -- #1079), Tuesday-Thursday 6-8 p.m.
Thursday, July 30 -- Last day of summer practice
Wednesday, Aug. 12 -- Team meeting in Science Hall, 6 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 13 -- First practice in helmets/shorts/shoes/t-shirts, 3-6 p.m. (need to enroll
in PE 129AD)
Monday, Aug. 17 -- Full gear practice (continue of PE 129AD), 3:30-6 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 22 -- Intra-squad scrimmage and special teams practice
Monday, Aug. 24 -- Start of fall session
Thursday, Aug. 27th -- Football luncheon for coaches at 11 a.m. Lunch served at noon
Saturday, Aug. 29 -- Evening Intra-squad scrimmage, 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 5 -- Opening Night -- OCC at Santa Monica, 6 p.m.
