Women's Soccer: Pirates win a pair at Ventura Tournament

VENTURA -- The Orange Coast College women's soccer team improved to 3-0 overall with a pair of wins this weekend at the Ventura Women's Soccer Tournament.

The Pirates opened things with a convincing 4-1 win over Cuyamaca on Friday. Lara Tishler scored a pair of goals, while Kallie Ryker and Ayla Media each added goals of their own. Taryn Bales notched a pair of assists, while Ryker and Kayla Albin each had one.

In goal, Claudia Arias had four saves for Coast.

On Saturday, the winning continued with a 2-0 win over West Valley.

Tishler, who did score a goal as a freshman last year, notched her fifth goal of the season in just three games, while Bales added a goal as well. Arias notched a pair of saves in the shutout win.

Next up for OCC is Long Beach City on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at LBCC.
