Women's Volleyball: Pirates sweep their way past San Diego City

SAN DIEGO -- Sophomore outside hitter Briana Fields had 10 kills and 15 digs to lead the Orange Coast College women's volleyball team to a 25-21, 25-19, 25-19 nonconference road win against San Diego City College on Friday.
Sophomore Karlee Skalla added eight kills and three blocks, while sophomore teammate Poerava Gantt added six kills and 11 digs.
On defense, sophomore libero Nikki Osuna equaled Fields with 15 digs, while freshman setter Kimya Jafroudi dished out 26 assists.
OCC returns to action on Wednesday at Mt. San Antonio College before returning home to face Citrus College on Friday. Both matches are set to begin at 6 p.m.
