SANTA ANA -- A pair of Kallie Ryker goals helped lead the way for the Orange Coast College women's soccer team during Tuesday's 2-1 Orange Empire Conference road win over Santa Ana.
Ryker, who leads the OEC in goals and points, opened the scoring when she ripped a long shot just under the crossbar in the game's fifth minute, giving OCC (11-4-1, 7-4-1 in conference) a 1-0 lead.
In the 32nd minute, Ryker was at it again when she beat out SAC goalkeeper Cortnee Kleidon for a loose ball, then tapped a shot into the empty net to make it 2-0.
That would be enough for the Pirates as Alyssa Simon notched four saves for the win.
The Pirates return to action on Friday at the OCC Soccer Complex against Saddleback, beginning at 3 p.m.
