COSTA MESA - It's never too early to talk about football is it?
For the Orange Coast College football team, opening night is right around the corner and for success to occur in the fall, the hard work continues through the summer.
For newcoming athletes, here are a few important dates to mark on your calendar ...
May 22 Football Class Feed -- 3:30 p.m.
May 24 Incoming Freshman BBQ -- 5 p.m. at LeBard Stadium
June 20 Start of Summer Football (PE 109) 6-8 p.m. at Lebard Stadium and Upper Field
July 4 No Class -- 4th of July holiday
July 14 Orange County North/South Game
July 18 Uniforms to be handed out
July 27 Last day of summer practice
July 29 Physicals -- 8 a.m. to Noon
Aug. 10 Helmets/Shorts/Shoes/T-shirts -- 3-6 p.m.
Aug. 14 Full gear practice (Start of PE 129AD) 3-6 p.m.
Aug. 25 Scrimmage - OCC at Santa Monica, 1 p.m.
Aug. 28 School begins
Sept. 2 Santa Barbara at OCC, 5 p.m.
