Women's soccer blanks Santa Ana

SANTA ANA - The Orange Coast College women's soccer team improved to 2-0 in the Orange Empire Conference with a 5-0 road win against Santa Ana on Friday.
Diana Johnson, Kelli Fresenius and Kelli Galligan each had a goal and an assist for the Pirates (5-2 overall), winners of three straight. Single goals were added by Nicole Huff and Stacey Shoop, while Rachel Ronquillo and Ashley Boyer each chipped in assists.
OCC jumped out to a 3-0 first-half lead and never looked back.
Goalkeeper Katie Johnson had three saves to preserve the Pirates' third straight shutout.
Santa Ana goalkeeper Alexis Villanueva had six saves for the Dons (1-4-3, 0-1).
The Pirates will return to action on Tuesday at home against Fullerton, beginning at 3 p.m.
