CARSON -- John Clark and Juan Meza each scored goals to lead the Orange Coast College men's soccer team to a 2-1 nonconference win over L.A. Harbor on Tuesday at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Alex Roberts posted three big saves in goal for the Pirates (4-3), winners of two straight.
OCC got on the scoreboard first when Amir Kazemi's shot rang off the goalpost, right to Clark, who slammed in the rebound at the 32nd minute.
A much-needed insurance goal was added in the 82nd minute when Meza took a pass from Dave Barnett, used a couple of ball-handling moves and beat the Seahawks' goalkeeper with a nice shot.
L.A. Harbor added a goal in the 90th minute, but could not find the equalizer in the final four minutes of extra time.
The Pirates will wrap up nonconference play at Cuyamaca on Friday, before opening up their Orange Empire Conference schedule at Riverside on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Both games are set to begin at 3 p.m.
