COSTA MESA - This year's first California Community College Regional State Football Poll was released this week and thanks in large part to last week's 28-21 win over Palomar, the Orange Coast College Pirates have garnered the No. 6 spot in the rankings.
It's a Southern California poll flooded with Mission Conference teams. In fact, five of the first six slots in the rankings are occupied with Mission Conference teams, including No. 1 El Camino, No. 2 Saddleback, No. 3 Mt. San Antonio and No. 5 Santa Ana. Fellow conference comrades No. 8 Riverside, No. 10 Palomar, No. 17 Fullerton, No. 19 Long Beach and No. 20 Pasadena are also in this week's top-20.
