RIVERSIDE - The Orange Coast College women's soccer team controlled the game on Friday against Riverside, but it was the host Tigers who won it, scoring in the game's 60th minute to prevail, 1-0, in Orange Empire Conference action.
"We probably had the ball on their side of the field nearly the entire second half, but we just couldn't score," OCC head coach Kevin Smith said.
Goalkeeper Katie Johnson posted one save for OCC.
With the loss, the Pirates fall to 7-5 overall, 4-3 in the OEC.
The Pirates return home to face Golden West on Tuesday, beginning at 3 p.m.
