THURSDAY, NOV. 5TH, DEADLINE TO RESERVE A HOLIDAY BASKET

 Interim President Denise Whittaker is inviting faculty, staff and administrators to join her in a campus-wide Holiday Gathering, Campus Appreciation and Student Textbook Fundraiser on Thursday, Dec. 10th, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. (location TBD). Individuals, officemates or any other group can reserve a basket by contacting Carisa Montooth at cmontooth@occ.cccd.edu by Thursday, Nov. 5th.
Whittaker hopes to generate $2,500 for textbooks using opportunity drawings for gift baskets and other donated prizes. She will provide the baskets and the cellophane, and she has asked the campus to pitch in with goodies to fill the baskets.
Donors are encouraged to have fun and use their creativity and imagination by concocting baskets with whimsical themes such as “Holiday Magic,” “Silver Bells,” “Gardener’s Delight,” “Chocoholic’s Dream” and “Oldies But Goodies.”
Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion director Andrea Harris has volunteered to help design the gift baskets. If you would like her assistance, call 714-432-5102 or email alharris@occ.cccd.edu.
On Thursday, Dec.10th, the finished baskets will be displayed in the Student Center with containers for tickets in front of each basket. You can buy as many tickets as you like and place them in containers for the basket(s) you like the most. Proceeds will go to the OCC Foundation’s Textbook Scholarship Fund for the spring semester.
